Trip to Peloponnese: Friday

So last night I got an email on my blackberry from the President of CYA saying that someone has H1N1 and this morning some kid on my bus wasn't feeling well. So on our way to Messene we stopped at a hospital and our bus mother and this kid got off so he could get some tests and stuff. So we then went to Messene which was actually huge and really pretty. It was green everywhere and we never see grass so that was cool and there were buttercups everywhere so it was like spring. Of course it was really hot again. It was again a pretty typical site there was another stadium and some temples but it was cool. We spent a lot of time there and at their museum. We then got back on the bus but the sick kid threw our schedule off a bit and the professors were pretty disorganized. First we were going to stop in a small town for lunch but we voted to go back to Kalamata so we could have a normal lunch. Then all of a sudden we stopped at a huge grocery store in the middle of nowhere and they told us to get lunch there. That kinda sucked cause they did not have food to go and I didn't want to buy the makings for a sandwich so it was another lunch of bad snacks. So then we got back on the bus and they pulled off in the middle of nowhere in the countryside so we could eat lunch in a field aka an olive grove !?!?!? We were all pretty upset about this. Then we picked up the kid from the hospital who did not have H1N1 and by then it was too late to go to the Palace of Nestor which I was somewhat bummed about so we checked into our hotel in Olympia. It was raining when we got there and the town was tiny so we got some taberna food for dinner walked the main street and then watched the movie Alexander as we fell asleep. They told us it was going to be cold and rainy all week which was such a lie haha it was hot everyday except for in Olympia.
